TERMS & CONDITIONS

We’ve tried to make these terms and conditions as short as possible, but it is important that we are all on the same page! Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions were updated on 10th Jan 2022 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

These terms and conditions apply to try-out sessions provided by Hogan Music outside of school settings. Separate terms and conditions are available for our music lessons both at Hogan Music and in schools.

1. Hogan Music Try-Out Sessions
1.1. A maximum of two try-out sessions on different instruments per student.
1.2. Try-out sessions are an experience/snapshot of what a lesson resembles.
1.3. Try-out sessions last between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the teacher.
1.4. You will be provided with information about how to sign up for lesson membership at the end of the try-out session.
1.5. There is no obligation to sign up for lessons but the student should be interested in starting before requesting a try-out session.
1.6. Please let us know if you need to borrow an instrument for the try-out session as this needs arranging in advance. You can indicate this requirement in the 'Instrument' section of this form.
1.7. Try-out sessions are free of charge.

2. COVID-19 restrictions (applies to face-to-face try-out sessions)
2.1. Face coverings should be worn around the building and during the session (unless exempt or trying out a wind, brass or vocal session).
2.2. Windows will be open to ventilate the room so please ensure you wear appropriate clothing.
2.3. All surfaces are cleaned with anti-viral cleaner between lessons and try-out sessions.
2.4. If you test positive for COVID-19 or present any symptoms, you should not attend your try-out session and follow current government guidance. Please contact us to advise that you are not able to attend.

3. Cancelling a Try-Out Session
3.1. Sessions can only be cancelled or rescheduled by contacting Hogan Music directly using the contact details below
3.2. Session cancellations require at least 24hours notice.
3.3. We will offer to reschedule try-out sessions that have been cancelled with 24hours notice or more.
3.4. Try-out sessions that have been cancelled with less than 24hours notice may be forfeited.

4. Non-attendance and Late Arrival at Try-Out Sessions
4.1. If a student fails to attend a try-out session without notice, the session will be forfeited and is deemed as cancelling with less than 24hours notice.
4.2. If a student is late to the try-out session, the teacher will endeavour to extend the session by the same amount of time subject to the teacher’s availability. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
4.3. If a teacher is late to a try-out session, the teacher will extend the lesson by the same amount of time or offer to make the missed session time up at an agreeable time.

5. Data Protection
5.1. All customer and student information is kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
5.2. By signing this agreement, you are agreeing to Hogan Music storing and processing your data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
5.3. We hold student records for a period of 6months from the date of their last lessons. After this, student’s records are permanently removed.
5.4. Hogan Music does not store any bank or card details

6. Complaints
6.1. Hogan Music prides itself on delivering the best possible lessons and experience for its’ students and welcomes constructive feedback as part of our own ongoing learning process.
6.2. If you feel that we have not met our own high standards or are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service you have received, we encourage you to tell us or to make a complaint.
6.3. All complaints and feedback will be treated seriously, fairly and, if appropriate, in confidence.
6.4. If appropriate, the person making the complaint will be kept informed of progress made regarding the complaint through to resolution.
6.5. A separate policy applies for safeguarding and child protection related issues.
6.6. In the first instance, all complaints should be made to the Hogan Music using the details below. Concerns relating to safeguarding and child protection should be referred to Hogan Music’s Designated Safeguarding Lead using the details below.
